Streamline Enterprises Inc is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects in Kamloops and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project execution, from planning and budgeting to coordination and completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction processes (BC Building Code), particularly in residential and commercial builds.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards. Oversee all phases of construction, including pre-construction, execution, and closeout.
Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project costs, manage change orders, and ensure financial targets are met. Prepare accurate cost estimates and forecasts for bidding and project tracking.
Permits and Compliance: Secure necessary permits, ensure compliance with local building codes, and coordinate inspections in Kamloops and surrounding areas.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.
Safety Oversight: Enforce strict adherence to WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies, conducting regular site audits to maintain a safe work environment.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and progress reports. Ensure proper handover of completed projects to clients.
Community Focus: Build strong relationships with local trades, suppliers, and stakeholders in Kamloops to support project success and foster community growth.
Skills
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on residential and commercial projects. Experience in the Kamloops or Thompson-Okanagan region is an asset.
Education: Diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. Red Seal Carpenter certification or equivalent trade experience is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and trades, including framing, concrete work, and finishing. Familiarity with MMCD (Master Municipal Construction Documents), BC Building Code and CCDC-2 (Canadian Construction Documents Committee) forms is preferred.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage subcontractors, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, architects, and municipal authorities.
Software Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD is an asset, Microsoft Office Pack.
Licenses: Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation. Willingness to travel within a 2-hour radius of Kamloops as needed.
Certifications: First Aid, WHMIS, and other relevant safety certifications are preferred.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually based on experience. Salary bonus based on performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in working with hand tools and machinery. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed to high standards of quality and safety.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, walls, roofs, and cabinets.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks.
Perform masonry work as needed, including concrete forming and installation.
Assemble furniture and fixtures according to design specifications.
Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
Proficiency in performing a variety of framing techniques.
Proven experience working with prefab wall systems and ZIP panels.
Strong understanding of hand tools and their applications in carpentry.
Experience with masonry work, including concrete forming.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
Knowledge of assembly processes for various structures and fixtures.
Familiarity with roofing systems and installation methods.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience
Valid Red Seal Carpenter certification
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and materials
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Must have own tools.
Open to working on projects beyond the city of Kamloops.
